There are two kinds of spline shaft: rectangle spline shaft and involute spline shaft. Rectangle spline shaft is widely used in spline shaft, while involute spline shaft is used for connection with large load, high centring accuracy and large size. Rectangular spline shaft is usually used in aircraft, automobile, tractor, machine tool manufacturing, agricultural machinery, general mechanical transmission and other devices. Because the rectangular spline shaft works with multiple teeth, it has high bearing capacity, good neutrality and guidance, and its shallow root can make its stress concentration small. In addition, the strength of the shaft and hub of the spline shaft is less weakened, and the machining is more convenient. The grinding method can obtain higher precision. Involute spline shaft is used for connection with large load, high centering accuracy and large size. Its characteristics: the tooth profile is involute, when loaded, there is radial force on the teeth, which can play an automatic centering role, so that the forces on each tooth are uniform, the strength is high, the life is long, the processing technology is the same as the gear, and it is easy to obtain high precision and interchangeability.
